Our Leverage to Negotiate Future Hotel Rates Depends on You
Help us maintain ACMP's excellent track record to avoid future attrition clauses in hotel contracts:
- Please do not "book outside the block." Make your reservations in the contracted meeting hotel, using the reservation link or phone number provided.
- Book your room reservation early and as accurately as possible. We recognize that unforeseen conditions may alter plans, but by communicating changes and cancellations early, you allow another participant to fill your vacant room.
- Tell us if you find a lower rate at the contracted meeting hotel over the same dates. ACMP negotiates for the lowest available rate; if you find a lower rate, this may constitute a breach of contract with the hotel.
Continuing Education Credits
CAMPEP - MPCEC TRANSCRIPTS:
Application will be made to the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, Inc. (CAMPEP) for approval of the program in order to provide medical physics continuing education credits (MPCEC) to qualified medical physicists attending the Meeting. For each hour of verified attendance (this includes symposia and proffered sessions) 1 medical physics continuing education credit (MPCEC) will be awarded.
Following the meeting, ACMP will provide CAMPEP with participant contact information, credits earned, and the appropriate processing fees in order for individual participants to access their personal 2011 ACMP Annual Meeting transcript via the CAMPEP online MPCEC Repository database. Please be advised, CAMPEP transcripts are viewable via the CAMPEP online MPCEC Repository database. Participants will not receive a hardcopy CAMPEP transcript. Should a participant need a hardcopy of the 2011 ACMP Annual Meeting transcript, an individual may order a hardcopy transcript from CAMPEP. View details here.
Note: Individuals registered as Companions are not eligible for MPCEC.
CONTINUING EDUCATION MEETING PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- Review basic knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
- Conduct sessions on the current state of the art and standards of practice.
- Provide a peer interchange forum for exchanging information and concepts.
MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION (MOC) as defined by ABR:
Many ACMP members now require Maintenance of Certification (MOC) as defined by the American Board of Radiology. ACMP is offering Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) which allow for interactive learning and self-assessment of knowledge gained during designated sessions, to be submitted for ABR approval.
Completion of two Self Assessment Modules (SAMs) per year is a requirement for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process as defined by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
To assist attendees who require MOC with fulfilling their SAMs requirements, ACMP program organizers plan to offer SAMs sessions pending approval by the ABR.
- Attendees will need to register for an audience response unit when they register for the annual meeting. The fee for the SAMs unit is $30.
- Questions will be asked during the SAMs sessions and participants must answer electronically. There is no pass/fail. The idea is to assess knowledge gained during the session.
- SAM credit for these sessions are available only to attendees who register for an audience response unit ahead of time and complete the required online evaluation of the session.
Please note that the SAMs sessions are open to everyone.
ONLINE EVALUATION SYSTEM: (Available April 30 - June 1)
- To obtain credit, attendees must complete an on-line evaluation survey.
- The survey will be available online Saturday, April 30th thru Friday, June 1st.
- Attendees must complete the survey by June 1st in order to receive CAMPEP credit.
- After the meeting, registrants will be contacted with instructions for viewing the meeting transcript via the CAMPEP website. The transcript will list a description of the sessions and the number of continuing education credits obtained.
- Please note your badge I.D. will be required in order to complete the CEC evaluation survey.
Online Evaluation System is Closed
